The Algebra Group at UFPR

This is a research group which began its ativities around 2003, with Edson Ribeiro Alvares and Marcelo Muniz Alves, at the Math Department of the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR). Eduardo Hoefel joined the group in 2006 and Heily Wagner in 2014. Nowadays the group is formed by these professors, their students and collaborators from other institutions. Our research is developed in four lines: Representation Theory of Associative Algebras, Operads and Higher Structures, Hopf Algebras and Coding Theory. Members of the group develop joint work regularly with researchers from other institutions in Brazil and abroad. We also take seriously the work of supervising students (graduate and undergraduate).
