Atualmente nossas pesquisas envolvem a doença de Alzheimer, com objetivos relacionados a encontrar biomarcadores, achar genes que estejam relacionados à predisposição de desenvolver a doença e testar o efeito de substâncias que possam auxiliar no tratamento.

• Na procura por biomarcadores, estamos estudando miRNAs [1].
  
• Para estudar a expressão gênica, utilizamos um modelo animal da doença [2].
