I received B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Campinas State University (Unicamp), and the master degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from UFRJ.
I am Ph.D in Operational Research from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and I am currently working for the Federal University of ParanĂ¡ (UFPR) in the city of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. I teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Applied Managment, and graduate courses in the Graduate program of Mathematics. My main research topics include: graph theory, spectral graph theory, and discrete optimization. I lead the research group Laboratory of Network Science and Optimization at UFPR.
I am an associate editor of the journals Computational and Applied Mathematics, Proyecciones and American Journal of Combinatorics.
